Just Swedish

10 September - 31 October 2008

In the early 20th century, Swedish craft was influenced by function. Today a new generation of makers is exploring boundaries between art, design and craft.

This exhibition, co-curated with Mats Jansson of Nääs Konsthantverk in Sweden, brings seven artists together, working in different materials showing the diversity in Swedish Crafts.

TRANSFORM

03 02 2008 - 02 04 2008

The exhibition focuses upon objects of everyday use and their significance for us in our interactions with, and as users of them. These objects can also be read as a portrait of something human; the vessel itself representing the body, while the choice of materials and forms are the existential commentary to the vessel.

GRAVITY
19.01.2008-22.03.2008

David Clarke (GB) • Idiots (NL) • Albin Karlsson (SWE) • Anders Ljungberg (SWE) • Wiebke Meurer (CH) • Emma Rapp (SWE).

NEW!

DESSERT CUTLERY

FOR BODA NOVA

DESSERT
Design: Anders Ljungberg

BodaNova has already collaborated successfully with the silversmith and designer Anders Ljungberg on many occasions. Now, for spring 2007, we are proud to present Dessert – a small set of cutlery fashioned by Anders Ljungberg in an appealingly good-humoured design to match the special mood of some of life’s sweetest moments.

The idea arose from the ever greater selection of gourmet ice creams and exotic fruits that has become available over recent years. At last, there’s good reason to take time to treat ourselves to a truly tasty dessert! Anders Ljungberg was keen to capture the delightful sense of satisfaction that comes with tucking into a delicious sweet or a bowl of fruit. The soft, gently rounded lines and cheerful styling of the cutlery are an open invitation to sample all sorts of mouth-watering sensations, both sweet and with the acid tang of fruit.

Dessert is the perfect present for everyone who knows how to enjoy the good things in life. The cutlery is sold packed in a tube that contains 4 dessert spoons, 4 fruit knives and 1 serving spoon that can also be used as an ice-cream scoop.
